Carlos Ponce is Senior Fellow and Director of Latin American Programs at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation and lecturer at Northeastern University and Columbia University. Dr. Ponce has 28 years of experience in the fields of governance, rule of law, Latino engagement, philanthropy, civil society development, advocacy for human rights, and democracy empowerment in Latin America. Most recently he was Regional Director of Latin America and the Caribbean at Freedom House. He earned his JD from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, his MA from Tufts, and his Doctorate from Northeastern University. He has been published in numerous places including USA Today, Fox News, Miami Herald, and CNN.
