Son of immigrants from South America and a native of Montgomery County, Maryland, Gabe Albornoz has more than 17 years of experience and an exemplary career in public service and nonprofit management. He has dedicated most of his professional work to serve and defend children, youth and families throughout the DC metropolitan area. Albornoz is recognized for his ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and to create innovative programs such as Excel Beyond the Bell, TeenWorks and TechConnect, which helped close the achievement and opportunity gaps for thousands of participants and ensuring vital living for senior citizens.
